CASTLEPOINT NOTES.
(From im Occasional Correspondent,) Tho bachelors of the East Const having at last realised tho fact that there are members of tho opposite sex residing in these parts, decided to hold a ball, and accordingly formed a grand muster of all the married and marriageable ladies, and a pleasant gathering was hold at tho Cnstlepoint station, Mr J Goring Johnston kindly lending tho I long .loom, which was tastefully decorated by Messrs Green and McKenzio, Mrs Crawford presided at the piano, and delighted everybody. Messrs Morris and Dunn during tho evening contributed songs, which were well received, ■ There was nothing yery sMffig in the way of gowns, all simple.and pretty, with an absence of pins.
