TAUERU NOTES.
(From Our Own Correspondent) Wednesday, The Rifle Club opened the season here last Saturday, firing at 200, 300, and 500 yds. There was a good attendance of members. Mr T. Brown headed the list with CO, Mr A. Gardiner being next with 56. Shearing commenced at Brancepetli on Tuesday and has been favoured with good weather so far. The drawing results here havo been placed at my disposal and are as follows, there being only five papers failed: -- Model—Passed: H. Bennett, S. Bennett, E. Davy, Kate Manning, W. Manning, Edward M'Hattie, E. Smith, Scale—Passed : H, Bennett, R, Manning, D. M'Calinont, Ellen M'Hattie, J. lleehal. Freehand—Good: W. Garratt; Passed: Tuho Waiuohii, It. Smith, (iooinotry—Excellent: ltei Pakn, Tu!:o Wainohu; Good :J. McKenzie. A. McKenzie; Passed: Teewe Anmi, MoniAnuru, Ellen M'Hattie, G. I'arsons,lt. Rcelial.
