A Bill dealing with tho number; of men to bo earned on taction engines, was read a first time and subsequently put through all its stages. At 12,55 tho Council adjourned till 2.30. Mouse of Representatives, The House met 11.30. Mr Sedon moved tho second reading of the Horowhenua Native Land Bill, to protect the rights of equitable claims in respect of certain portions of the Horowhenua native lands, the debate on tho bill occupiedthowhole morning, the second reading being carried before the luncheon adjournment,
