The Rev. Mr Scott, gaol chaplain, assorts that Otto Junckon admitted that ho believed Mrs Needle was guilty of attempting to poison him, though ho was not conscious of what she was doing at the time, Junckeii, however, denies this mid says ho believes the woman was innocent, He received a letter written the night before the execution, referring in endearing terms to her dead children, and to a hope of meeting thorn again, but there was no trace whatever in it of compunction for the crimes for which she was hanged.

Tho Czar, it is said, is hastening the marriago with a view to compel liis son to abandon the idea of renunciation of the throne. The Imperial Council advise that the second son, Grand Duke George, should renounce his rights as heirpresumptive, in favour of his brother Grand Duke Michael. Tho Czarina is thoroughly prostrated, The only bulletin issued to-day states that the Czar slept intermittently for five hours, that he rose with his usual appetite, but that liis strength is decreasing, otherwise his . condition is not changed. prayers are offered up in Bjory church in Russia, and also by Whe army and navy. w (Received Oct. 24,10.45 a.m.) St. Pbtersiiurg, October 23.
