Sin— Seeingthat cancer is spreading, it is high time the Government did something with regard to tho sale of diseased meat in this Colony Tho only remedy is to provide public abattoirs, and experienced inspectors who will do their duty. It is no use botchers saying anjthing, even if tlioy see a boast is affected. If one did he would get the 1 " sack," if not directly, very soon afterwards. Again the diseased offal is thrown out to the pigs and in turn they are killed for meat and take it to the people. Diseased meat should be condemned and burned. Unless something is done in the direction indicated Icanseoabad time ahead, and instead of 50 cancer cases there will be 100 next year in the same localities.—l am, etc. ' ■ One who ohght to now.
