MURDER AND SUICIDE.
Shockinq Tragedy near Cromwell.
Tho Commissioner of Polieo eceived a telegram yesterday that a miner named named John McKer«/fc j was shot dead near Bannockburn, about Ave miles from Cromwell, about 11 a,m. on Saturday. It is believed the deed was comniitted by another miner named Archioßluo. The body was found in Blue's hut, and also a gun. The dead body of Blue was afterwards found in tho tunnel of some old gold workings not far from the scene of the murder. An inquest will be held,— Times,
