Tire North Wairnrapa Liberal As- ( sociation proposes to recognise the political services of Mr A. W. Hogg I ( by a banquet and a presentation of a \ purse of sovereigns. Whatever the I dimension of the banquet may be, we trust the purse will be a full one. Mr Hogg has devoted the whole of his time to the service of his constituents, and a member whopossesses no private resources, cannot afford to do this, He has worked hard and successfully for the local interests of the district, and it is a right thing that there should be some formal recognition of his efforts from his supporters. It is not easy nowadays to make up a big purse, but we hope the promoters of the present movement seo their way to getting one together. It is one of those things which should he done handsomely or left untouched,
