Masterton, Monday. Messrs It, E, Horublow and Co, auctioneers and produco more-hauls, report as follows for the week ending October 13th.

Our sales during the week showed a decided improvement, more especially our auction sale on Saturday, which was one of the best, financially, wo have yet had. In potatoes (seed) tliore was a slight fall in last week's price, but Derwcnt table potatoes were in good demand at last peek's quotations. New potatoes, Auckland grown, were quitted at satisfactory prices, and every line disposed of, We expect a large shipment this week, In grain, wheat is scarce.

We quote—Primo whole fowl wheat 3s 3d to 3s Gd; prime short oats 2s 2d; long feed 2s; oaten sheaf chaff 2s od to 2s 9d per bag ; straw chaff Is 2d i barley is Gd.

Potatoes—Primo tabic Donvciits', 3s 3d to 3s (ill; early potatoes 3d; seed dcscriptionsh'iuigc from 3s to ss.

Uncoil find hams realised from 5d to 7d by unction, Eggs are very largely supplied, and are down to 5d per dozen, lfyuil—Apples, best dessert lis per case; oranges 5s to 6s Cd per case; rhubarb, 10s Cd per dozen, Poultry—Fowls, 2s 3d; ducks, 3s 9d; turkeys, 7s Gd per pair. Clovora—Sutton's specially selected from 45s to 140s; turnips, 100s to 140s; swedes, 120s to 130s, Babbit Skins-best winter, 7d. Horses—With one exception all horses offered on Saturday were sold, Harness horses fetched £9 10s to £l3 j saddle hacks from £3 15s j ono broken down moke, saddlo and bridlo realised £3los; 1 standard gig, £l6 10s; set harness, 15s, Properties—With the exception of leasing one small property, no trade has been done during tho week, although we have had a good many enquiries,
