_ The closing meeting of this year's session of *tho Masterton Circle of the A.H.1!,, Union, was hcldinthoWesleyari Schoolroom last evening and took the form, of a social. There wero a large number' of members and their friends present, aud a very pleasant evening was spent, several members mid others contributing to the eveiu'ng's entertainment witli dialogues, readings, recitations and songs., licfreshments were handed round by the lady members. At tho conclusion of the programmo Mr T. H. Flcmiug, who was called on to sayn few words, said" he had a very pleasant duty to perform, which was to present Mr Hutchison with a slight token of the esteem in which he was hold by the members of the Circle of which ho was the leader. ' He then presented Mr Hutchison with a handsomely bound volume of John Buskin's work "Tho Seven _ Lamps of Architecture." Mr Hutcliison having suitably replied, the company broke up after singing " Auld hang Syne."
