The Corean War.

(Received October 12,10.45 a.m.) SIIAXGUAt, Oct. 11. The Chinese have arrested four spies at Port Arthur, who were caught cutting the wires connecting torpodocs with tho shore. Loxikix, Oct 11. The Powers have agreed that no obstacle shall be placed in the way of the Japanese advancing upon Pekin. (Received Oct. 11,0,30 p.m.) Siiasohai, October 10. Reports, which, however, require confirmation, have been received that Japanese troops have landed at Niu Chang, situated at tlio head of the Lia-toug Gulf; also that they were oompellcd to recross the Yalu River by Chinese outposts, (Received Oct. 12,1 a.m.) SuAXiWAi, October 11. A thousand Chinese troops, armed with bows and arrows, have gone to the front, The Emperor of China is infusing fresh energy into the defenco of the Empire. The Japanese fleet is reported to have been more crippled in the late engagement off Yalu than has been admitted. It is further stated that the Japanese admiral was utilising dummy warships in order to make a sham demonstration off the coast. It is reported that the Chinese I fleet lias been repaired and rolittotl, and leaves Port Arthur to-day.
