GREYTOWN NOTES.

(From Our Own Correspondent). ' Monday, The Kev. W. Bowse preached in the Presbyterian Church yesterday morning in the absence of the Eov. Chas, Murray.

A mooting of the congregation of tbe Presbyterian Church will beheld to-morrow evening. The result of the football mutch between Mnsterton and Greytown at Carterton last Saturday surprised most football enthusiasts down this way.

The Rev. S. J. Gibson preached a momorial sormon on the lato Mr Baumbcr, of Mastcrton, to a good congregation. The sermon was very impressive.

A large number of Europeans took advantage of the fine weather yesterday, and numbers could be seen strolling towards the Black Bridge where a large tangi is being held. The last concert andcoinediettain connection with St. Luke's Church, lis lo be held to night in the Foresters' Hall. The comedietta to bo staged in one act is entitled " The Lady Mayor," got up entirely by Mr Gant, and we believe it will be worth going to see.
