J, Dukes recoived an unani;l mous invitation to remain in his ■, present Circuit for a fifth year, Two e years ago tho Wesleyan Conference resolved that where desirable, a e Minister may labour in one Circuit 0 fivo years in place of tho former o limit of three years. It is notewprthy that Mr Dukes is tho only il Minister now residing a fourth y«ai' ill the samo Circuit, and if appointed fqr a fifth year as tho local church desires, it will be at once a proof of " tho value of the now law and of the 5 Rev, gentleman's popularity, Mi Dukes is we think deserved]!

During tlie past four years substantial improvements have boen mado in the Church ami School buildings, wbilo tho grounds havo changed their neglected appearance to a picture of neatness and good order, and this without any increase of debt or difficulty. Indeed in tho i matter of freedom from debt, wo are i glad to learn that the Masterton • Wesleyan Church now holds a '.positionequalled by few Churches lin the Colony. Long may it remain r =
