CORRESPONDENCE.
... .[Tinsre-HJifoh* w.d, times.] Sis.—From whatever sourco you obtained your information contained in your local of yesterday's Times n my insolvency in the past, I have to state that thp statements in the said local are misleading. Through my partner losing a steamer by shipwreck on tho Australian coast in 1886,1 sought the protection of the Court.- Shortly after that heavy loss, and at no time since then have I filed, until last Monday, whon 1 had another very heavy loss in the South Island, through no fault of my own, of- cash, stock, and shares; to the extent of over £I3OO, through a company going into liquidation, and which was unavoidable on my part under the circumstances, and it is questionable if any of your local business men could stand the lieayy strain and' other josses like tip without having to tile. In justice to myself and the public you will oblige by inserting this.—lain, etc., ; ' ' ■■' B.'W. Davidsox', ' ; Of Christchurcb. ;
