-,£ he following kindly tribute to the Tate Mr J. Bautuber is from Mr A. W. Hogg, ILH.R., in' a letter to Mr W. Gillespie, of this town "Masterton lias lost a truo Christian and an excellent citizen; the workers of the District have lost an advocato of their rights as faithful as he was zealous and earnest; and—as you truly remark—l have lost an ardent and loyal supporter, and a valued friend. The Knights of Labor and the' Liberal Association will miss his services greatly, fov lie was staunch and true-to the great cause of universal brotherhood and sisterhood. Let us hope that his spirit has fjone to adorn and illuminate a greater commonwealth, lam sorry ikil shall be unable to attend the lanml, much as I should have liked fo, The Land Board meets to- . tiormv, and as Mr Pirani is absent cn aicount of the death of his father, unless I attend there is danger of lie meeting lapsing in the absoncc of a qhonim.
