Fire Brigade Band Social.
Nearly two hundred persons were present Inst evening at the Fire Brigade Social, at the Masterton Drill Hall, and to all appearances, heartily onjoyed themselves. Music for the dancos was supplied by Mr A von Keisenberg's string band, several items also being rendered by the Masterron Orchestra, the principal being the "Turkish Patrol" played with particularly fine effect. Previous to the social the Fire Brigade Band played outside the Hall and the excellence of tho music was freely commented upon. Tho members of the New South Wales Football team put in an appearance after the banquet at the Club Hotel, and also several of the local footballers. Duriug the evening vocal items were contributed by Messrs S. H. Ralph and F.Lilly; Mr J, Candy played a clarionet solo, and Master Blkins a violin solo, each being well received. Messrs E. Kiahagen and W. Candy acted as M.C.'s, to the satisfaction of all present.
