Wellington, Monday.

Shortly after the lonic passed Farewell Spit yesterday morning, Mr Fletcher, a saloon passenger, died of apoploxy. Ho was attacked by tho complaint on sth September, and never rallied. Tho deceased was London manager of Chambers Publishing Company, aud had booked as passenger tp N.Z; for tho sake of his health ana also to seo his brother and sister who reside atDuncdin.
