Cowden Lad's sire was Old Scotchman, tho property of Mr. John Kerr Moiton, dam Mr Eastin's (of Cowden) young prize mare Jean, by Prince Boyat, g.d. Blossom by Ben Lomond (imp). Renfrew Jock's sire was the well known horso ltenfrew (imp), who gained two first prizes as a year-old, 2 firsts as a two year old. Thus showing HenfroW Jock to be tho most fashionably bred stallion that has ever been placed at tho disposal of breeders in this district, and breeders should not miss such a wolcome horse.
