Ho gained tho Champion Cup at Haltat on the 13th September 1862, and has beaten overy horse that has competed against him. In 1874 he was imported to Dew Zealand and was placed second against all comers at Oamaru Show, In 1875 ho reversed tho order and was placed first in the aged class, ar.d took tho Champion Cup for the best entire on the ground. This performance he repeated in 1876, In 1879 ne was first and champion at Timaru, After that ho was sold to the Geraldino Stud Company, His dam. Queen Bess, tho property oi G. She also was awardedon tho same day the A, & P, Society's first prize as a mare, and two of her progeny, Queen liess is an excellent model of a Clydesdale mare, Sho commenced her premier career as a yearling by taking first prizo at Oamaru in a ring of 7 first class fillies, when shown as a two-year-old sho also gained tho red ticket at the same placo, Bho was also awarded first at Timaru and first at Waimato shows, Thus showing Renfrew Jock to bo descended from the best Clydesdale blood in tho «>rld, and also from the greatest lino of prizo takers under the sun, these strains navo bcon especially selected for tho breeding qualities by the most successful breeders in tho Mother Country, m well as tho Colonies, that judgment has been fully verified.
