On entering the lull the sight was a very imposing one. Along the gal- ; lcry' Maori 1 mats and other ornaments 1 were hung. A wild ram's head wuaTso' among his cxliibits. Next in this lino was a few heads exhibited by Mr Jacobsof Mftstcrton. Aspiiiuingniauhiuo was exhibited and worked by Mrs Anderson of Carterton. A fish {wild containing all kinds of nick-nacks for children was run by tho Misses llobinson and Whytc of Carterton; The AiiGallcry , was in charge of Messrs J. K. Homblow 'ys and F, lioydhouso tho former acting as showman, whilo tho latter (dressed in peculiar fasluonj" drew" the audionco in a way that would outshino a Choap : . Jack. The >■■' Fijian houso was much admired by tho audience; Mrs Gibson was mistress of ■».;/> the home, and tho interior was a fac simile of a Fijian home, Mrs Gibson was attired in a native costume, and there was even a Fijian baby (dummy), to be seen in bed. This latter exhibit caused much amusement. Mr J. Lewis, who is an inventive genius ran an olectro. plating show and did a very good trado. Ho also exhibited amodel of thefamous electric flogging machine in full working order, also a " stereoscopic," containing Ticws of. every discription. Jfc, will give a detailed account of the exhibition in next issue. The hall, was packed in tho evening aud the. concert was an immense success. Visitors wcro present in large numbers. from all parts of the district. Tho were very considerable.
