(From Our Own Correspondent). ■' 'i '■■■■'■''■ ' .'•■■■ Tuesday. There was only one case on yesterday in the S:M. Court, but it occu-. pied tho Court till past'mid-day. This was a claim of £B2 10s, being 75 per cent, due on a coutract for bush falling.of 100 acros,boiiig tho second hundred out of: 469, The plaintiffs were W, Shepherd and E. Griggs, contractors; and the defendant was Mr 0. Tringham, of Pigeon Bush, Mi' 0. W: Tringlmm appeared for the defendant. .After hearing all the cvidenco and the arguments of both counsel, the S.II. non-suited the plaintiff with costs. ■ '. ; ' Professor' Beaumont gavo a performance last, .night, but ho had a very small'audience, and as his show did not last three quarters of an hour, people who paid two shilling consider they paid rather high, It is evident that the Professor did not nnpreuiiito such a miserable audi enee; but taking into consideration .the wretched state of the night, ho had not a bad audience.
