DARING BURGLARY.
Hastings Post Office Entered, (By Telegraph.—Press Association] Navikr, Saturday. A daring burglary was perpotratct last night at tlio Hastings Posl Ollicc, which'was broken into during tlio night and the safe taker away bodily, containing 27s in cnsl: and £ll7 in stamps. Postal notes to the value of L 67 12s were also in tlio safe. Next to tlio Posl Oflico stood an express, in a yard foi sale The burglnrs took advantage of this to cart the safo away. Yesterday being tlio last day for payment of the Property Tax about 1j1,510 was taken, but fortunately it bad been banked earlier in the (lay. At present the affair is shrouded in mystery, but tlio police havo the matter in hand.
