PIGEON MATCH.

A pigeon match was hold at Tanhorenikau on Thursday afternoon last, find, although under the oxcellent management of Mr IV, R, Bone, everything was well ail-anged, the very unfavourable weather interfered with the attendance, both of shootists and the goneral public, Novortholess tlireo matches wore got off, tho birds being admitted by all taking part, in tho contests', to be tho best scon in tho Wairarapa for a long time, The shooting was exceptionally good, in spito of all drawbacks, and this caused the supply of birds to run out in tho last match, a 5s sweepstake (first miss out), and the monoy was returned to competitors. In tho big match ton competed, tlireo being Wellington men. Tho scores are as follows
