. Duxkdis, Saturday, A man namcdCharlcs Neville was seriously assaulted last night, and now lies in a precarious condition. Neville received a letter which asked him to meet the writer near, the Town Belt. He kept tho appointment and was . struck by a bludgeon behind the ear, ; The detectives have arrested a man named Robert Hick-, ling in connection with tiio occurrence.
