The President proposed a resolution of three clauses strongly opposing tlio Government proposals to borrow £150,000 for loans to farmers, and of £250,000 to repurchase lands already sold, as common prud»nco dictated that the result of an experiment already made should be awaited, and giving (jualified approval to the proposals to issue £1,000,000 worth of consols in the Colony, The resolutions were carried practically without discussion.
