In tho Supreme Court to-day, the Jury in Best's case were unable to figrce, and woro discharged, Tho Crown.Prosecutor enteral n nolle jmequi, the Judge remarking that if the second trial resulted in a conviction, the application for probation would probably bo successful. In discharging the Jury,HisHonor made some strong remarks on tho action of some counsel in taking full advantage of challenging jurymen. Bcst.was discharged. John Wheeler alms Crooked Mick, wns convicted of larceny at Masterton, and sentenced to three months imprisonment,
