General Committee Meeting.
1 meeting of the GcneralCoinmitteo of tho Masterton Agricultural and I aatoral Association was held at tho Club Hotel cm Saturday, Mr.A. TV. Care in tho chair.
I # 3UNUTKB. , Tho minutes Of tho previous meeting were read and confirmed.
SUBSCRIPTIONS, A letter to received from Messrs Murray, llobcrts and Co., offering a donation to tho Society -of £5 as a prize at the forthcoming show. A letter was road from Messrs Levin and Co, enclosing a cheque for £3 3s as donation to the Society's funds. llic Loan and Mercantile Agency wrote that they did not remember making any promiso re. subscription, but requesting further information together with tho namo of the winner, in the class to which reference had been made by tho Society's communication. The Chairman stated that a donation of £5 os to 1)0 devoted as a prize for the best yearling bv Salisbury, had been promised by Mrßuick.
MOOIIAMME, 'flic programme ns prepared by the Committee set up for that purposo, was submitted for consideration.
Mr McGregor moved that the progranimcas laid down should be accepted. Mr Harvey seconded the motion which was carried.
It wns moved by Mr Sykes, and seconded by Mr Guild, that under the Farmer's Class, an addition should be made to the effect that any rams entered should have been used during the previous season. . .
Several alterations were proposed au,l carried.
Mr Guild moved that the alterations be added to the prize-list programme.
NEW JIEJIBEUS. The following gentlemen were elected members of the Society Messrs T. Col way, W. Colo, J. Engcl, J. Tucker, D. McKay, G. K, Bond, J, Simins, S, Carmen rind P, Dixon.
STONE I'ICKINO COMJIITTKE. The abovo committee reported that thoy had woracded to work on the Showground, Finding they had not sufficient money, they had laid out £9 8s iu addition to the amount granted to them by the Society, The report wns adopted on the motion of Mr Guild, mid a vote of thauks was accorded to the Committee on the motion of Mr McGregor, seconded by Mr G, Welch, NOTICE OF .MOTION,
Mr I Sykes gave notice to movo at the next meeting that any member of the Committee, who without written apology absents himself from three consecutive meetings, cease to be a member of the committee. It was decided that the Prize Committee should meet 011 Saturday, tho 18th instant,
