Tate has so far recovered that ho is now able to got about again.',,' ' ' "'■.'■''•.• Great interest is being taken in the Duffel's' Concert, which comes off at tho Palace Hall this evening. Tho Darktown Firo Brigade, with tho assistance of a special band of music, intend driving round the town aiid district this afternoon, hy way of advertising, tho affair to-night, and tho residents may expect to witness an exceedingly funny turn-out. ;
. A Darktown torch-light procession will precede the concert to-night, and it is expected that a large audience will greet the Duffers. : •
Tlio Presbyterian Bible Class held a very pleasant social in tho Church last night.
It is believed here that tho man who attempted suicide, as reported in your paper yesterday, from Wellington, is the Charles Arney, who was employed by the late Mr George Jones, of the Foresters' Arms Hotel, iuGreytown,
