Mr Payton consideredi(,bt the first matter was the guarantee, He thought that the vestry which had been elected should be able to gjvc an absolute guarantee for tlie amount required, Twelve years agq a similar vestry had given a guarantee for £3OO, and there was no reason why ibis ono should not give 'a guarantee for £250.
_ The Chairmau stated that in reply to the circulars issued,'the vestry 'had received promises of a further a'tnoimt of

Mr W. H. Bcetham remarked that although he was averse to the clergyman's stipend, or auy portion of itdieing raised Ibybazaarsorspccialsubscriptions, there was ono matter to which thcladies might turn their attention.
