Friday. Yesterday at Mr Seed's residence, there was ; a good attendance, of buyers,'but ; tho reserves ; wero too high. Messrs Tains and Co., were to have hold a'stock sale, but no entries came to hand. 1 hear that the Wharoaina footballers have challenged the Feather-, ston team to play them at Grey town, 1! am told that their challenge will bo accepted, but the date is not fixed
