CHURCH MATTERS.
(I3y Telegraph-Press Association), Wulmxgtox, Tuesday. St James' Anglican Church, Lower Hntt, has decided to recommend to the Synod to extend the franchise to women at Parishoners' Meetings. The proposal was very strongly opposed by the incumbent. A motion to allow women to sit on the vestry was lost by one vote.
