practice was a most successful one and was taken part in by scholars from the I'cathcrston, Grcytown, Carterton,'Waingawa, and Mastcrton Schools. Mr H. Booth kindly undertook the duties of referee and gavo tho boys much valuable assistance by coaching them in various points of the game.
