FEATHERSTON NOTES.

Friday, The long lookcd-forball took place last night, and was an unqualified success, there being over4oo persons present, Everything went' off smoothly. Mr Adam Donald declared the Hall opened, as Mr Buchanan was unable to attend owing to the Wairarapa, Charitable Aid Bill coming on yesterday •afternoon, The football match yesterday [afternoon between Pcatherston and those engaged upon the erection of the new hall, resulted in a win for tho Greytown men, by 8 points to 5.
A hunt took place yesterday afternoon from Mr Hodder's in the first .ran, and from Mr Pharazyn's in the second, There were very few following, and only two spills.
