Masterton Lawn Tennis Club.
Annual Meeting,
The annual general meeting of the Mnsterton Lawn Tennis Club was held last evening in the Masterton Club, there being present twelve membors including several ladies,
Mr Donald Donald was voted into the chair. .
The minutes of the previous meeting wero read and confirmed,
Tho election of a Committee for tho ensuing year resulted in the following gentlemen being elected : Messrs W, Broad, A. E, D Arcy, Dr Butoment, flowley, and J. J. Mackersey. Mr P. C. Eowley stated that he desired to resign his position as Secretary of the Club.
Mr D, M. Graham was elected to fill tho vacancy.
Tlio Treasurer (Mr Bunting) read tho balance-sheet, which showed a credit balance of £5 8s 2d, : On tho motion of Rev, Father McKennn, seconded by Drßutemcnt, "tTie" bsllaiice-sheet was adopted as rend.
On the motion of Mr Mackersey, seconded by the Rev. Father McKcnna, it was decided that all members, whose subscriptions are overdue on Ist September, cease to he members of the Club, and that a copy of this resolution be forwarded to them.
Dr Butement proposed that the Club securo the old courts for another year.—Carried. It was proposed by the Rev. Father McKenna, and seconded by Mr Donald, that tho Committee be authorised to expond up to £5 in putting tho new courts in order.
On the motion of Dr Butement seconded by the flev, Father McKenna, it was decided to request tho Committee to draw up rules for the Club, and to submit tlieni to a special general meeting of the Club to be held for the purpose, The meeting concluded with votes of thanks to the chair and the retiring Secretary.
