r , ':;'"'■ ' Tuesday. The secondof a series of sixpenny concerts, iu aid of St.: Luko's Church, Greytown, was held last evening.'in the PoresWfHall.' The Brass Bandj: always willing to assist any good movement, assembled in front of the Hall and rohdered soyeral itchis with good effect. The audience was'.a;la%e one, showing thattho residents-are willing to appreciate such 'entertainments. It was to bo regretted that tho weather turned out to bo so unfavorable, thus preventing many from.a distance attending, The Hev. A. V. Grace presided and the following items were creditably rendered:!; Overture, Miss Braithwaito; song, MrGant; song, "-Darby and Joan," Miss.Moncrieff; orchestral pieco, " Caliph of Bagdad," Misses Puller, Messrs Varnham', Fuller : . and Maguire; song, " Waiting," Miss Broadbent; violin solo, "Bohemian Girl," Professor Deely,R.A.M. ;song, " Pallor Hemn," MissFrasor; song, " Lang, Lang Sync," Mr Moncrieff. After tho interval Mi's Andrew opened with air overture ; song, "Jessies Dream," Broadbent; song, " My Heather Hills," Mr Moncrieff; song, Miss Fraser;violin solo," Cavatina," ProfessorDecly; song, "Flora McDonald's Lament," Miss Moncrieff, Tho singing of the National Anthem concluded a very pleasant and enjoyable conceit. The Band of Hope held its usual fortnightly meeting in the Wesleyan Schoolrosm last night, when a large number of children and adult friends wero present, Various interesting items wcro givon during the evening. At a Committee meeting hold afterwards it was decided to hold n social in throe weeks' tirno.

The weather is again inclement, and causes much annoyance to outside laborers.

The Greytown Band meet to-night to'decido as to tho advisability of holding a ball.
