The railway stationmastors in the Government servico complain that they suffer grievous disadvantages owing to the absenco of an oflicicnt system or classification, and a petition on tho subject with about 500 signatures has been drawn np,tp be presented to the Commissioners, Owing to the Ministerial majority this session, a row of additional hat and coat pegs havo had to be placed in the Government whip's room. Tho Pnliiatim County Council have aßked tho member for the ■ district to carefully guard the intorcsfs of the sottlers when the Bcttcrmonte Bill is submitted •to Parliamcnt.B,'l. Times.
