Mas«son won by 32 points to 3. The Maoris played well at the start of the gamo,and kept Masterton well it bay. Once a scoro was put up ngninst them, however, they went to pieces, and Masterton scored a^they • liked. McGovern seciived two tries, DArcytwo,nnd Mowlemand Gray one each. Three trios were converted. D'Arcy also potteda goal, and placed ono from a mark. The Masterton backs had some excellent passing practice, nnd all were conspicuous. In tho.forwnrdsMowloni, McDonald, **V Watson, Gray, and Robicson were about tho best. Johnston, a new man to Masterton, played on the wing, and crcateda good impression. Towards tho end of the game, the MnwjjL .penned Masterton in for aocJHHo only time, and some prettywork between Pratt and Barstow, enabled the latter to score, no goal kicked. Robson,a heavy weight, Tai, Uru, nndWaari wero the best in tho forwards, while Jumbo, Pratt, Kennedy and Barstow were the shining lights in the back division. Mr J.
