MASTERTON PARK TRUST.
Quarterly Meeting. The regular quarterly meeting of the Mnsterton Park Trustees was held yesterday afternoon, Present; Messrs J, Payton (Chairman), J. C. Bodtlington, It. Hare, and A. W. llcnall. Mi.wri;s, The minutes of last meeting wero read and confirmed. treasurer's nEIT)RT, Tho Treasurer's report, road to the meeting showed a credit balance nt date of £2O 3s 6d, with liabilities £7 9s, I'AIIK IMI'IIOVEMKXTS. A letter was received from the Secretary of the Town Lands Trust, stating that a grant of £IOO had been made to the Park Trust, £SO to be available in 1894, and £SO in 1895. Tho Chairman said no conditions were imposed in tho grant, but it was understood that a grandstand was to be erected. It was necessary to get in subscriptions, and to have plans drawn up, Ho was aware that this meant a considerable amount of trouble and wwld therefore propose that a sub-committee be appointed, including Messrs Bremncr, Mooro and the mover, to arrango the best means of getting in subscriptions and preparing plans for the work, Mr Boddington seconded the motion which was carried.
Mr Haro said ho was prepared to subscribe atonce and would give £l. Mr Payton said ho would give a like amount.
Two small accounts wero passed for payment, and tho meeting adjourned,
