WAIRARAPA LICENSINGCOMMITTEE.
First Meeting, (From Our Special Correspondent.) C.uii'RiiTox, Tuesday. At the Carterton Licensing Cununittec meeting held to-day, the Committee adjomwilthe application for renewal of license to the Lake Ferry Hotel, on the grounds of insullicient premises, and dilapidated buildings. Applications for licenses for Ihe Club Hotel, Marlinborough; the Marlinborough Hotel; the Club Hotel, Feather, stun ; the Tauherenikau Hotel; and the Empire Hotel, Fealherslon, were heard. t In applying for the renewal of the license for the recently destroyed Club Hotel, Fealherslon, Mr Poirunll said the owner had asked him to say that he was to apply insurance money to reinstate the buildgs, and asked for a permit to carry fi in tern- l porary premises till the new buildings were creeled, and also a renewal of the ' license. The C'ommillee adjourned lill ] two o'clock, when decisions will be given.
