MASTERTON TOWN LANDS TRUST.

Monthly Ming, \ The regular monthly meeting of tie Masterton Town Lands Trustees was lield last evening. Present Messrs A. W. Vile and A, W, Renall, THE DttILL HALL. The Chairman stated' that Mr Lowes and himself had waited upon Mr Pownall with reference, to tho title of the Drill Hall, and tho matter was now in Mr Pownall's hands, The Clerk said Mr D. Donald, claimed to have an interest in tlio Hall as a Trustoo. Mr Pownall had informed him that lie would communicate with the Dofence Department, and tiion lot the Trust know tho position, A QUESTION OF LEASE. Some discussion occuvred re -the question of Mr Macara's loase of tho property occupied by Mr E, Braggins. _ The Clerk said' Mr Macara had signed no loase. -The Chairman said the fact- ol possession a tenant. As long Macara paid rent there was no need to trouble about the matter. WhenMr'Maearo stopped paying rent they could sue Mr Danioll thought that out ol

The Clerk was instructed to reply to Mr Macara to the effect that tho Trustees could not move in the matter, SCHOLARSHIP FUND.'
