PAHIATUA NOTES.
(From Our Own Correspondent.)
Mr John Webb, who has lately busied himself with providing shelter and meals for the unemployed here and elsewhere recently met with rather a disappointment. Upon his return to Pahiatua ho discovered that the owner of the shed he had rented, had in his absence seized tho whole of his bedding and cooking utensils for rent of the building. However, nothing daunted, Mr Webb is huntnig up another shelter shed, with the view of continuing relief to the de-
serving, The first (annual meeting of tho Directors of the Pahiatua. Herald Newspaper Company is to be held early next month.
