A Contradiction.

The Manager of the Bank of Now Zealand Estates Company, contradicts the statement from Gisbome in the PnreninatS'Tapany's interests Validation Court. The 'tbt&ro the of the Pareamata is only tweniy thousand pounds, eight thousand acres, the Company's interest, has not been specially assessed and if judgment is given against tho Company tho loss falls entirely upon the natives. The total interests of the Estates Company at Gisbome are about £47,000, for which the Company hold clear titles, affording ample security, and the Company only appears before the Validation Court for the benefit of the natives, who have interests on the blocks over which the Company holds first charges.
