Fire at Featherston.
(By Telegraph—.Own Correspondent) Feathers™, Tuesday. Bock's goods Bhed was burned down early this morning. The fire started a littlo before midnight, and it was not long before the structure was gone, but the contents, consisting of 175 tons of flax, and one truck of wool, the property of Messrs Bidwill Bros, and 15, toua of cnal, niado a huge bon-fire and are still burning, tho Greytowu Fire Brigade are nt work. Tho origin of the firo is supposed to be spontaneous com* buation. The books and safe were saved. Tho building was insured in the Phanix Office for £250, and I hear that the flax and wool are also insured, but this is not yot authenticated.
