After frequent application! for the taut in arrears, I was instructed to obtain possession of the house, I applied to Mre Boere rcp-atcdlj for possession and gavo her several notices which she refused to comply with, I thou pked tho matter in tho hattds of my solioitor who advised me that if Mrs Beere gave up possession quietly I should not distraid upon any of her goods. This she refused t to do and tho goods were accordingly ' seized, Had Mrs Beero given up the premises even after the distress watjjtfd she could have departed ' - Sho was wise in instead of doing so she got a few misguided individuals to pay the runt. Excellent example for every one who does not care to pay his rent. Why pay it, if the public will pay it for him? I ■ leave it for tho publio to say whether the Benevolent Sooiety was constituted for such purposes lam etc, E, H,
