Pickering and tV je mem . bers of the Masterton Municipal Fira Brigade are to be heai% congratulated on the Buccess of their eighth annual social, whiob took place last evening at the Drill Hall. Neatly two hundred must have beett present, besides many onlookers, who occupied the stage. Tlio Hall itself was decorated with a large number of pictures being hung on the wall ? andfla ?B and motti es appropriate to File Brigades were a 'ranged on all sides. _ The floor was in excellent condition, and good musio was supplied by the Mastertm Orchestra, under the leadership of Mr L vonMtpnberg. l'he supper table was atranged most tastefully, and tha I piles of good things descriptions ' | %e most invitingly#- out by a clever energetic iadifes committee Captain Pidkering and his Hr men owe a good deal for the m which the jadios assisted.
