SIR GEORGE GREY.
Speech to the Colonial Party. | London, May 11. Sir George Grey, addressing a meeting of the Colouiul Party in the House of Commons, declared he was arerae to the British annexation of Homon, which, if left alone could govern itself under the New Zealand Government. This plan, he said, had worked well in conwotion with Karatonga, and should ulso be a success in regard to Samoa, Sir George Grey advocated the Pacific mail eeryicpß to the colonies and the Pacific cable. He urged the formation of a Colonial Party to strengthen the ties between Great Britain and the oolonies. He said ho was opposed to Agents-General lor the colonies being selected from the members of Parliament. Sir George said he hoped to see the Federation of the Anglo-Saxon race brought about with oolonial delegates in the Imperial Parliament,
