SUDDEN DEATH IN MASTERTON.
On, Saturday afternoon last, Ml elderly man named Patrick Conway come lo Maslorton from EkoUliuna, beating a letter addressed to Dr Hon* king, stating that he was sick and indigent, and wwhod admission to the! Mastertoil Hospital. Conway, it appears, mado bis wny to the Hospital, and wis informed by the Ouatodiati that he would have to see Dr Hoskiog and prenont bis letter be.foro ho could bo admitted to the institution. The man appeared perfectly satisfied, and asking where Dr Hosking lived returned to the town, Ho did not go to* tlio Doctor's, but lo the Universal Bonding House, whore Mr Mould gave him a comfortable room. COll- - did not mako any oomplaint or ask to see a doctor. About eleven o'clock Mr Mould went to the man's | room to are how he was getting on, and found him sleeping apparently quite comfortably. On Sunday morning at 9 o'clock Mr Mould again went to Conway's room and found him dead on tbe bed, with his feet on the floor, having evidently died while endeavouring to rise and dress himself. An inquest will be held this afternoon,
