THE PRINCE OF WALES HOTEL.
Since his occupanoy of tbe Prince of Wales Hotel, Masterlon, Mr J. Tuokor has been busily engaged renovating this old and well-known hostelry. The whole of the building has undergone a change at the hands of the oarpenter and'painter until it has now almost assumed the appearance of a new house. We noticed
that one of the pariors near the bar entrance which has been set appart as a settlers' olub room is comfortably furnished and supplied with writing materials, etc, while another room (the house keeper's) is to be at the service of wives and families. An opening with oircu)»r counter has been plaotd in the old bar parlour, and this is at: tached to main bar, The diningroom and billiard room have changed places, an arrangement which is an advantage in every way. The billiard room is well-appointed with every convenience, and the table haß been recovered and comfortably upholstered seats in red plush are placed round the room. Here also

can be reached from the billiard room or from tbe street, and ia itself a Well appointed and comfortably supplied with hot water upplianoes for keeping the food in a hot and agreeable condition, There ia also to be furnished a private dining room for ladies which oan be approached through the main dining room ( or from Queen Street. The ppmmeroial club room pan be raaphed through the dining room and billiard room, anil is furnished in tbe most comfortable manner and supplied with every requisite iu the abape of writing tables and the materials for commercial men. Uj< stairs the bed-rooms (about twenty in number) have been papered and painted throughout apd very oomfort-ably-furnished.'■ A bath-room and lavatory have been fitted up, and are
supplied with hot and oold water, The kitchen has been enlarged and well fitted, as have also the safes,, pantry, and servants looms.
