Social and Presentation of Prizes A peasant company gathered at the Mastcrtou Drill Hall last evening, to tuko part in tho Athletic Club's .Hociul, ami also witness tho presentation of prizes, won at tho lust Sports Meeting. The LUU whs tastefully decorated with evergreens, flags, and picture*, and mirrors were conveniently placed round the Bide-walls. The flour was in good condition nod some really excellent musio was contributed by the Taneru Orohestra, under tho direction of Mr Harry Rees, while under tbe supervision ot Mr 0, Winchester, the wants oi tho inner man. were well siippln-d. At intervals between the dunces vooal items wore given by Mrs W, lktotneut, Miss Cron, and Messrs W. Simms and G. H. Astull, eacb performer being heartily applauded. No recalls wero permitted although MrsW.Butemontwasoouipelledtobow tier acknowledgments a second time, hop singing so pleased those present. At 980 Mr C. A. Pownall in a fow well cbosofl words;call<;d upon Mrs W. H. Hosking to present tho prizes, and apologised for tho unavoidable absence of Dr. Hocking, the Club's Presidont. Mrs Hosking (who waa supported on tho platform by Dr Butement, tho Rev. Father McKenna, and Messrs C. A. Pownall, E, (j. Eton, W. Jeflries and A. N. Norton, officers of the Club) then distributed tho honors m follows:

'. lion, Ist piizo; Consolation Race Ist prize, trophy, B. V Skeot, j After thanking Mrs Hosking by acclamation, dancing was resumed and kept up with spirit until about 2 a.m. Messrs Nortou, C. Perry, WJeffries and E. G, Eton acted in the
capacity of M.C's. and ably performed their duties, no.hitch of any kind occurring to mar the evening's enjoyment. Extia dances were very kindly played by Mrs Fitton and the Misses Caß?lberg, Fuller and Walker. A)/ogether the Club is to be conLalulatedon having achieved another thorough success, and added still further to its popularity, and everyone of the officers and the members of the Committee, arc to be congratulated ou their individual efforts for its welfare.
