She had borrowed £4O from money lenders, paid back £BO, and still owed £BO. His Honor said it showed (he i necessity of going back to the old usury laws. In the Supremo Court, the executors in the case of Sommerville, deceased, asked His Honor's directiou on three questions:—(l) Whether they should retain Bank of New Zealand shares? (2) Whether thoy should aasent to the reconstruction soheme of ihn New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Company ? (3) Whether they should continue to bold AuoklandGas shares ? Judge Connolly said, regarding the fust, he was not prepared to decide, and the question was therefore withdrawn, On questions 2 and 3 His Honor decided in the affirmative,
