The Harbour Board deputation jinted out that entirely without leir knowledge or sanction, an act ?en passed vesting'tho balanco of !arbour Board Loan, which was mi ;pended, viz; £IOO,OOO, in the Pubb Trustee, who was paying them only \ per cent, interest, whilst they had i pay English bond-holders 5 per ;nt. The Board was losing in into;st £I,OOO a year. The Premier said o would probe the grievance regardig the Public Trustee and would do II he could to help the Board, Another deputation urged that Mrs 'oatoii's Art Album of New Zealand lora should be used as a school classook, but Mr Seddon advised that Mrs 'eaton should communicate with the Apartment, Mr Seddon refused the Homestead issociation a rebut; from the feos barged for survey. ■ Keplyiug to the Liberal Associaion deputation, Mr Beddon alluded o what he considered the want of aste on the part of Judge Barton of he Validation Court, in -nailing the emarks ho did relative to the Governueot delaying operations in that jourt, Ho said that the Court was et up to rectify illegal transactions ind it was determined that tho cost if it should not be thrown upon tlio iiixpayers of tho Colony,
